Coimbatore: A 20-year-old woman was raped in the Karumathampatti police station area of the Coimbatore district.
On the complaint received by the Perur, All Women’s Police Station Inspector Mrs. Anuradha filed a case under sections 376 and 506 (i) and remanded the person in custody.
Those convicted of the crime could face up to seven years in prison or life imprisonment.
