Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, January 5: Ahead of the upcoming Rathasaptami celebrations, District Collector Smt. Swapnal Dinakar Pandkar and District Superintendent of Police Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy conducted a detailed inspection of the arrangements at the Sri Aditya Temple, Arasavilli, on Monday. The officials reviewed preparations and issued necessary instructions to ensure smooth and safe conduct of the festival.
The District Collector directed temple Executive Officer Sri K.N.V.D.V. Prasad and engineering officials to make comprehensive arrangements for devotees’ convenience. Separate queue lines and barricades were ordered for Free Darshan, VIP Darshan, and differently-abled devotees. Drawing inspiration from the Tirupati temple system, officials were advised to design queue lines in a manner that allows devotees to have a clear view of the Lord from a long distance.
She further instructed that carpets, shamiyanas, rolling mesh, pipes, and barricades be securely installed, with all safety precautions strictly followed. Emphasis was laid on inter-departmental coordination to prevent any untoward incidents. Parking facilities are to be arranged at 80 Road and near the HP Gas Godown, along with the establishment of special first-aid centres and deployment of 108 and 104 ambulances. It was also directed that 500 Ksheerabhisheka Darshan tickets be issued to devotees standing in queue lines from midnight on the 24th of this month.
Addressing the arrangements, District SP K.V. Maheshwara Reddy stressed that special care must be taken to ensure hassle-free darshan for common devotees. He instructed officials to implement effective traffic regulation and vehicle parking plans, stating that proper queue management and strict security measures would enable devotees to have a peaceful and orderly darshan. He reiterated the need for all departments to work in close coordination to ensure a safe and incident-free festival.
The inspection was attended by Rathasaptami Special Festival Officer Smt. Sobharani, DSP Vivekananda, SUDA EE S. Sugunakar Rao, Srikakulam Rural CI Paidipu Naidu, Traffic CI Rama Rao, SI Harikrishna, and other police and departmental officials.
