Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: While patrolling the Ervadi area in Tirunelveli district, a team led by Assistant Inspector of Police Mariyappan questioned Jamal Asik (20), a college student from Uppu Vadakkuththeru, Ervadi, who was found loitering suspiciously near the Balasubramaniapuram exit. Upon discovering he was illegally in possession of 30 grams of cannabis intended for sale, Ervadi Police Inspector Sudha registered a case and initiated steps to arrest Jamal Asik and place him in judicial custody.
