Chennai: On the orders issued by the Chennai Police Commissioner Mr. Sankar Jiwal, IPS, the “Computer Literacy Training Program” should be provided to Police Inspectors and Assistant Inspectors working in Chennai Police Department to better investigate computer-aided crimes online. To conduct prompt action on public complaints regarding cybercrime received and to take action against persons involved in social networking crimes “Computer Literacy Training Program” classes are being conducted. As per the order, it has been decided to conduct computer skills development training classes for 1,609 researchers and assistant researchers working in the Chennai metropolis at 6 college centers in Chennai.
On 1.12.2021 Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mr. Sankar Jiwal, IPS, inaugurated the Computer Literacy Training Program for Police Inspectors and Assistant Inspectors working in Chennai Metropolitan Police at Kotturpuram, Madras IIT Campus. The training includes basic computer training, computer crime detection, clue collection, tracking protection, action on social networking site criminals, handling of CCTNS website, and PowerPoint presentation. The training class is being conducted on 1.12.2021 at 6 college centers per month at the rate of 2 days per badge.
