Sharmila requested the Madurai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mr. Mr.Davidson Deva Aasirvadham, IPS, to make the necessary arrangements for the rare O-ve 5 Units blood as they had a complicated maternity operation for Mrs. Kavitha of Trichy as the O-ve blood is not available in many places for emergency treatment. The Police Commissioner immediately informed all the police stations in Madurai city and informed the details of O-VE type requirement, 5 police officers and police personal were sent to the Madurai Meenakshi Mission Hospital within 2 hours and gave 5 units of blood. Subsequently, Mrs. Kavitha gave birth to a baby girl on 15th October 2010 after her medical treatment. Mrs. Kavitha's relatives have arranged for the blood at the right time and they expressed their gratitude to Madurai Municipal Police Commissioner and Madurai Municipal Police for protecting precious lives.]]>
