Tuticorin: In preparation for the 67th anniversary of Emmanuel Sekaran on September 11th, a consultation meeting was held on August 30th, 2024, at the Tuticorin District Police Office, led by District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Albert John IPS., with police officers and community organizers. Those planning to pay their respects from Thoothukudi district are required to travel only in their own vehicles (cars only); rented vehicles, open vehicles, two-wheelers, tractors, Tata Aces, etc., are not permitted. The vehicle number, registration certificate, driver’s license, and details of all passengers must be submitted to the relevant Sub-Division Police Offices by September 6th, 2024, to obtain a vehicle permit. This permit must be displayed on the front windshield of the vehicle when visiting the memorial. Entry will not be allowed without a permit. Vehicles must follow designated routes without making unnecessary stops that could disrupt traffic. The use of loudspeakers, traveling on roofs or stairs of vehicles, carrying weapons, and bursting firecrackers are strictly prohibited.
