<![CDATA[Chennai: An arrest was made by the Crime Branch CID on the leakage of the question paper ahead of the examination during the Anna University’s recent examinations for affiliated colleges. The question paper that was leaked long before the examination was to be conducted was the MA6251 Mathematics – II that was scheduled on the forenoon of December 3. The students accessed the question paper through social media. When a complaint was made to the university the exam was cancelled. M. Venkatesan, the university’s Controller of Examination lodged a formal complaint with the CBCID on December 7. On the complaint received from the University’s Controller of Examination Mr. M. Venkatesan an enquiry was conducted by the police and the persons responsible were identified and the Crime Branch CID police arrested K.Suresh Kumar a BE Computer Science graduate who passed out in 2016 and A.Harikrishnan an Engineering student studying in a college in Sriperumbudur who had arrears and was appearing for the examination. The two were then remanded in police custody. The Police said Suresh kumar had accessed the copy of the question paper from one of his relatives working in the office of the Controller of Examination. He in turn passed it to Harikrishnan, who circulated it among his friends. The police said that the case has been solved after a thorough investigation. The persons involved have been arrested except one who is absconding. ]]>
