Indore: Police Commissioner Urban Indore Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra, identified criminals who cheated people while earning illegal profits in Indore Commissionerate, and made fake accounts on social media and made objectionable posts. The Police effectively hacked and nabbed them. Action instructions have been given. Under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Mr. Rajesh Hingankar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Mr. Nimish Agrawal and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Mr. Guru Prasad Parashar, under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime). The Branch fraud investigation teams have been deployed.
The team of Fraud Investigation Cell took complete information about the fraud from Dr. Aapdika Priyanka, in which it came to know that the thug, by pretending to be an officer of CRPF force with ID proof and sending a list of 25 force staff, took the doctor in false belief. In the name of payment of fees by contacting to get the health checkup of CRPF staff, fraud was done by drawing 99, 000 rupees from the account by getting the UPI PIN of the applicant through Paytm Wallet and getting the amount and credit card number of the thug through Paytm Wallet. After that, when the applicant told the thug that the payment was deducted instead of receiving the payment, the thug was again duped of Rs.99, 000 in the same manner in the name of refunding the money. In this way, a total of Rs.1,98, 000/- was cheated online with the applicant. In which immediately after taking information about the transaction from the fraud investigation cell of Crime Branch Indore, the applicant should contact the concerned bank and wallet company and get the withdrawn amount of one lakh 98 thousand rupees safely returned to the applicant’s bank account.
The general public is informed by Crime Branch Indore that never trusts any instructions given to you by any unknown person through call or message regarding banking and UPI wallets (Paytm, Phone pay etc.) You never need to enter your UPI PIN for payments received through banks and UPI, so “DO NOT ENTER YOUR UPI PIN TO RECEIVE PAYMENTS”, otherwise you may be a victim of fraud.
