CHENNAI: The co-founder of online home stay firm Stayzilla, Yogendra Vasupal who had been arrested by crime branch Police on March 14 was refused bail on Thursday and the crime branch was granted one day Police custody from 3 pm on Thursday till 3 pm Friday. Yogendra Vasupal was arrested in connection with alleged cheating and criminal intimidation. His bail application was dismissed by the Special Court for CCB-CBCID cases in the city. Special Metropolitan Magistrate M M Kabir, refused bail and granted one-day custody of Vasupal to CCB. “The CCB is granted custody of the accused from 3 pm today till 3 pm Friday,” the judge said on Thursday. CS Aditya of Jigsaw Advertising and Solutions Private Limited filed complaint against Vasupal, based on a complaint alleging that Stayzilla had failed to make payments for services rendered since February 2016 and defrauded him to the tune of `1.69 crore Yogendra Vasupal was arrested. CCB filed a case against Vasupal and his partner Sarjit Singhi for offences under Secs 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 506 (i) (criminal intimidation) IPC.]]>
