Vijayawada City: On September 7, 2023, an awareness session was held at Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Swati Center, Bhawanipuram police station, wherein students were educated about human trafficking, cybercrimes via social media, and safety measures. The session also covered information about the POCSO Act, emergency helplines (Dial 100, 112, and Disha app), as well as topics like Uses, Good Touch Bad Touch, L.H.M. Yes, and drug abstinence. District Officers and their teams conducted this program, addressing various women-related issues.
Furthermore, near Ankamma Matla Temple under Patamata Police Station, a similar initiative took place at the small bridge center and Nikepadu SC. Through short videos displayed on L.E.D. screens in colony areas, the local populace received crucial information on good touch, bad touch, and precautionary measures against crime, particularly targeting young children. Disha Police Station personnel, along with local residents, actively participated in this awareness campaign.
