New Delhi: The Delhi Police Crime Branch solved a murder case by arresting the accused Apoorva Shukla on Wednesday. The accused was the wife of the deceased. The murder was committed in the early hours of April 16. During investigation, the police had placed Ms. Shukla as the prime suspect in the murder case in addition to two more persons being involved. The other two were the two domestic helps in the house. On Tuesday she told the police that she was with him in the room for half an hour around 1a.m. on the previous night of the incident. The police were awaiting and believing the forensic reports to confirm her presence. When Rohit Shekhar was taken to the hospital on April 16, the hospital authorities declared that he was brought dead. When his post-mortem report was ready it was revealed that the death was due to strangulation based on which a murder case was registered.
