<![CDATA[3 suspects held following the involvement with Inter-State drug cartel by The Delhi Police on Tuesday from Shalimar Bagh. The arrested men have been identified as Shakeel and Irshad, both residents of Uttar Pradesh (UP), and one Jitender Yadav, who is from Jharkhand. They seized five kilogram of heroine worth more than Rs.20 crore in the international market and several mobile phones with SIM cards used in trafficking drugs. The suspects used to procure their drug consignments from Jharkhand and Manipur, the police added. Then they supplied the same through carriers to other dealers in Delhi and UP. The suspects used to receive the drugs in both refined and crude forms. The refined material would directly be transported. But the crude stuff would first be processed in their secret hideouts in UP’s Bareilly before being transported. The police has been taking efforts to track the activities of the drug cartel for the past two to three months. On Tuesday, they received a confidential piece of information about an expected drug delivery by the three near the B.C. Colony at Shalimar Bagh. A Special Cell team laid a trap and nabbed them. The police have recovered the drug consignment that was supposed to be delivered by the traffickers and also seized several mobile phones. The police said that the investigation is on to make other possible arrests in this connection.]]>
