New Delhi: As the Delhi Police were keeping a strict vigil in view of the elections, they came across two persons and when they started to flee, the Police gave a chase, arrested two persons, and found that they were in possession with illicit liquor. The liquor was seized from the accused. This happened on Thursday in South-East Delhi. The police arrested the accused from Lajpat Nagar. The accused have been identified as Shaktivel aged 42 and Annadarai aged 45, both belonging to Madrasi Camp. Mr. Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) said as a police team neared the abandoned railway quarters which is near the railway tracks, they spotted four persons carrying sacks on their back and were seen going towards Madrasi Camp. On seeing the police team, they started running. The police gave a chase and nabbed two but the others managed to flee, He confirmed that 413 cartons of illicit liquor were seized from them. ]]>
