Pahalgam, July 9: As part of his ongoing visit along the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra route, Director General of CRPF Shri G. P. Singh conducted a comprehensive review of the security arrangements at Nunwan Base Camp, Pahalgam, underscoring CRPF’s crucial role in ensuring a safe and peaceful pilgrimage for all devotees.
During his visit, the DG stayed overnight at HQ 116 Battalion, where he engaged in an informal yet impactful interaction with the deployed troops. He emphasized the spiritual and national significance of the Yatra, while commending the personnel for their alertness, dedication, and professional conduct.
Shri G. P. Singh also reiterated the collective responsibility of the force in making each pilgrim feel safe, welcomed, and supported, and applauded the troops for their unwavering service under challenging conditions.
The visit highlights CRPF’s strong commitment to operational readiness and public safety during one of India’s most revered religious pilgrimages.
