Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: Ahead of the visit of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to Srikakulam district on May 16, District SP Sri K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS has announced a temporary ban on the use of private drone cameras as part of heightened security arrangements.
According to the police, the prohibitory orders will remain in force from Saturday morning until the conclusion of the Chief Minister’s visit and will apply to all areas covered under the Chief Minister’s itinerary within the Narasannapeta Assembly constituency and surrounding locations.
The District SP clarified that private drones cannot be operated near the helipad, public meeting venue, Solid Waste Management Center, designated travel routes, or adjacent areas without prior permission from the District Police Department. Unauthorized filming, photography, videography, or live broadcasting using drones has also been strictly prohibited.
Police warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone violating the orders, emphasizing that the restrictions are aimed at ensuring public safety and maintaining secure arrangements during the high-profile visit.
