Chikkamagaluru: The ‘Anti-Drug Campaign Cup’ cricket tournament was organized to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug consumption, featuring participation from four teams representing the Police Department, District Administration, Journalists Association, and Advocates Association. Dr. Vikrama Amate, IPS, Superintendent of Police, inaugurated the event during an awareness program in Chikkamagaluru City. Mrs. Meena Nagaraj, IAS, District Collector, inaugurated the tournament, with Dr. Gopalakrishna, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, also participated. In the final match between the police and district administration teams, the police emerged as the winners, with the district administration securing the second position. Mr. Jayakumar from the district administration team was recognized as the best batsman, while Mr. Puneeth from the journalist team received the best bowler award.
