Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: A drug eradication and road safety awareness program was conducted at Washermanpet by the Tirunelveli City Police in collaboration with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, under the leadership of Police Commissioner Santosh Hathimani, I.P.S. The event saw the participation of Deputy Commissioners of Police V. Geetha (West), V. Vinoth Shantharam (East), and S. Vijayakumar (Head Office), who addressed students and the public on the dangers of drug addiction. An oath-taking and awareness signing initiative was also held.
Students performed a skit highlighting the consequences of drunk driving and mobile phone usage while driving. The event witnessed active participation from police personnel, university faculty, students, the Youth Red Cross Society, the Highways Department, Cauvery Hospital, People’s Education Foundation, and Amakhil Kalaiyagam.
