Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, 1226 criminals have been punished by the courts in the last one year due to excellent police investigation and better prosecution practices in crimes against women.
Additional Director General of Police (Women’s Security) Mrs. Pragya Richa Srivastava informed that from January 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022, 1226 criminals were punished by the courts. Of these, in two cases the death penalty, in 270 life imprisonment, in 462 with 10 years or more imprisonment, in 72 with less than 10 years but more than 5 years and in 420 cases with imprisonment of less than 5 years.
