NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police registered an FIR today against unknown persons in connection with the case of a Kargil martyr’s daughter Gurmehar Kaur (20) who complained of receiving “rape threats” allegedly from ABVP members. Police received a letter from Delhi Commission for Women which demanded them to immediately register an FIR against unknown persons who had threatened Gurmehar Kaur (20). A senior Police officer said FIR was registered under relevant sections of the IT Act and IPC, said a senior police officer. “DCW yesterday forwarded a complaint of a DU student reg. online abuse. Immediately the area Deputy Commissioner of Police spoke to her & provided the necessary security’’.
