Bhopal: Intensive checking and patrolling by senior officers in the city have been directed to arrest criminals and curb crimes, as a result of which on November 28, Shahpura police received information from the informer that two persons near the new bridge Swarna Jayanti Park are standing with kattas and pistols.
On the information of the informer, Shahpura police laid siege and caught Bhupendra Rajak alias AD Nagar and Ajay Bankhade. Out of which a country-made pistol with one cartridge was received from Bhupendra Rajak and one country-made pistol with one cartridge from Ajay Bankhade. Which was seized and the accused arrested.
During interrogation, the accused, along with their other two accomplices Sahil Bilway and a minor, admitted to committing various theft incidents in the police station Shahpura area. On the behest of the accused, Sahil Bilway and the minor accomplice were arrested and gold and silver jewelry worth about four lakh rupees have been confiscated. The accused are being interrogated in other cases.
