Bhopal: The full dress and final rehearsal of the Police Commemoration Day Parade were held on Monday morning at the Martyrs Memorial courtyard at Lal Parade Ground here. Like every year, Police Commemoration Day will be celebrated on 21 October. On this day, the main function of the state will be organized in the main hospitality of the Governor, Mr. Mangubhai Patel, at 8 am in the Martyrs Memorial premises located at Lal Parade Ground. Additional Director General of Police Visbal Mr. Kanskar IPS inspected the parade.
Additional Director General of Police Mr. Milind Kanaskar IPS inspected the full dress rehearsal parade. Along with this, the police also took stock of other arrangements for Memorial Day. During the full dress rehearsal for the Police Commemoration Day on Tuesday, the Chief Constable, Mr. Ramchandra Kushwaha, played the role of the Chief Guest.
The final exercise parade was led by Mr. Abhishek Tiwari, an officer of the Indian Police Service. The two-I-C of the parade is Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Saurabh Tiwari IPS. The Parade includes a women’s platoon, a combined contingent of Special Armed Forces and District Force, a men’s platoon of Special Armed Forces, a police band platoon, and a canine contingent.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. ML Chhari IPS, Mrs. Krishnaveni Desawatu, Commandant VII Corps Mr. Tarun Nayak, Commandant 23rd Corps Mr. Mohammad Yusuf Qureshi, Commandant 25th Corps Mrs. Nivedita Naidu, and other senior police officers were present during the full dress rehearsal. During this, tribute was paid to the martyrs by paying floral tributes to the melodious tune of patriotic songs being taken out by the Police Band. Initially, a list of honors was placed in the Memorial Fund by the Pal-Bearer Party, and a salute was given to the Martyrs’ Memorial. On October 21, 1959, a contingent of CRPF personnel, under the leadership of Sub Inspector Mr. Karam Singh, was patrolling at an altitude of 16,000 feet in Hot Springs of Ladakh, when 10 soldiers were martyred in an encounter with the Chinese army. In his memory, this day is celebrated by all the police units of the country. This year 15 jawans of Madhya Pradesh Police have given their martyrdom for the country.
