Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: A total of 282 kg 884 grams of cannabis, seized by Tirunelveli Police in criminal cases, was incinerated at Aseptic Systems Bio Medical Waste Management Company in Pothaiyadi, Papangulam village, Vijayanarayana, Tirunelveli district. The destruction was carried out under the supervision of Tirunelveli Police Deputy Superintendent Dr. P. Murthy, I.P.S, in the presence of Tirunelveli District Superintendent N. Silambarasan, I.P.S, along with Deputy Superintendents of Prohibition Police, a forensic expert, and Minitha (in-charge).
