Bhopal: To control crime and criminals in the city, Police Commissioner Bhopal Mr. Harinarayanachari Mishra and Additional Police Commissioner Bhopal Mr. Anurag Sharma arrested the accused and directed them to take action. In pursuance of the above instructions, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Mr. Shrutkirti Somvanshi and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Mr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Assistant Police Crime Commissioner Mr. Sujit Tiwari, Police Station Incharge Crime Branch Mr. Ashok Maravi and the team arrested two men involved in illegal drug smuggling and one Success has been achieved in arresting the female smuggler.
The Crime Branch team had received information from the informer that two men and a woman were standing near the vegetable market in front of Kamlapati station with Ganja and waiting for someone. On information, the police team arrested Moh. Tahir, father Moh. Sadiq, age 30 years, resident of slum number 342, in front of Ayesha Masjid, Ramnagar, Shahjahanabad, Bhopal, Sohanlal Meskar, father Lakhanlal Meskar, age 35 years, resident of slum number 709, near Kaliji temple, Bajpai, from the place indicated by the informer. Nagar Idgah Hills Shahjahanabad and woman Sharda Devi, husband Chandrika Mahato, age 40 years, resident of village Chhawni Mohalla, police station Chanpatia district Bentiya Bihar, were caught by siege. After searching all three separately, 10 packets were found from Mohd. Tahir, 6 packets from Sohanlal and two packets were found from the woman. A total of 9 grams of ganja worth Rs.1 crore 80 lakh was found in all the packets which was duly confiscated. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act and taken up for investigation.
