PANAJI, SEPTEMBER 5: “objectionable” posters showing sacked Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar came up Goa with the Aam Aadmi Party election symbol on it following which the party on Monday threatened to file a police complaint. Sandeep, a former minister AAP government’s in Delhi was arrested last week on charges of rape and other charges following a complaint by a woman who purportedly figured in an “objectionable” CD with him. He was also suspended from AAP after the scandal came to light. His posters were put up in Panaji, Margao, Ponda, Vasco and Mapusa markets besides other prominent places in Goa with “AAP for Women Empowerment” written on it. The picture of broom, which is AAP’s symbol, has also been displayed on the posters. AAP Goa Convener Walmiki Naik told reporters here, “I suspect BJP behind such acts. BJP rules and governs the state (Goa). They should see to it that proper inquiry is conducted into such acts”. The party will file a formal police complaint, Naik said. “AAP condemns such cheap tactics. “If the people criticize our developmental work or policies hat’s ok, but someone resorting to putting such posters is unexpected and it is the worst example of politics”, he said. Goa is facing Assembly elections in a few months from now and AAP has begun its ground work where it will contest all the 40 seats.  ]]>
