<![CDATA[Gurugram: The Gurugram Police arrested four persons in the early hours of Tuesday for robbing people at gun point after offering them rides. The Crime Branch have claimed that they have solved 15 cases with the arrest of 4 accused namely Sahil, Sajid, Hussain and Shahid. Sahil hails hrom Palwal while the others are from Nuh. Mr.Rahul Gupta based in Azadpur, Delhi who works as a manager in a travel company registered a case at Sector 18 police station on December 4 stating that he had flagged down a cab around 9pm on December 3 from his Sohana road office. No sooner had he boarded the taxi, the accused who were inside snatched his two debit cards and one credit card at gunpoint. They even snatched his mobile phone and took the SIM card and forced him to share the PIN numbers of the three cards. The accused then allegedly withdrew Rs.49, 900 from his account and Rs.16, 000 using his credit card. The victim filed the case with the police the next day. Based on the complaint registered by Mr. Rahul Gupta the police from Sector 17 Crime Branch headed by Inspector Mr. Narender Chauhan arrested Hussain, Sahil, Sajid and Shahid. While making the arrest the police said, the accused Shahid in a bid to escape from police custody fell and got injured on Tuesday morning. The accused used to target their victims at IFFCO Chowk, Shankar Chowk and Rajiv Chowk on the Delhi –Gurugram Expressway. Once they got a victim into their vehicle they would allegedly take a U-turn to drive to an isolated place near Hero Honda Chowk and rob them at gun point. During the robbery session the accused would assault the passengers and snatch their mobile phones, cash, cards and other belongings. The police seized 2 cars used by the accused to commit the robberies. The accused were produced before a court and remanded to a three day police custody. ]]>
