Bhopal: Police Commissioner Mr. Makrand Deuskar and Additional Commissioner of Police Bhopal City Mr. Sachin Atulkar have given instructions to all the station in-charges to check the incidents of vehicle theft in the city and to nab the thieves. Following these instructions, the Habibganj police station has succeeded in arresting the vehicle thief. Along with this, four stolen motorcycles and an open jeep have also been recovered.
On February 9, complainant Mohd. Ehsan, Dalpat Verma, and Anil Bhalse residents of Bhopal had filed a report in the police station that some unknown person had stolen their motorcycle. On the report, the crime was registered at Habibganj police station and taken up for investigation.
Within 24 hours of the investigation, while effective checking was done by the station in-charge Habibganj Mr. Bhansingh Prajapati and his team, three persons on two motorcycles which were coming simultaneously at a high speed, Nilesh Neelkanth (33), Anand (20), and Honey Neelkanth (18) were caught by siege.
On asking for the documents of the vehicle from the persons, they were found not to have the documents. On interrogation, he admitted to stealing two motorcycles and one open jeep from different places of Habibganj police station area and two motorcycles from the Shahjahanabad police station area in a single night using a master key. Four stolen motorcycles and one open jeep were seized on the behest of the accused. A case has been registered against the accused and an investigation is being done.
