Mr. Ashok Kumar IPS, DGP and former DRDO scientist O.P. was explaining the growing challenges of cybercrime in an interesting way. The Hindi version of Minocha’s book “Cyber Encounters” has been launched today. Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami released the Hindi version of the book “Cyber Encounters” at a function organized at St. Joseph Academy Auditorium, Dehradun.
On this occasion, former DGP Mr. Anil K. Raturi, Vice Chancellor of Doon University Prof. Surekha Dangwal and all the educationists and dignitaries of the city were present. Congratulating the authors, Honorable Chief Minister said that the book “Cyber Encounters” is doing the work of filling the ocean in Gagar. Cybercrime is a big challenge of today’s time and making public aware about this challenge by a senior official of the state increases the relevance of this book. He said that the Uttarakhand Police is doing a great job in dealing with cybercrime and arresting cyber criminals from every corner of the country and sending them to jail.
This book will spread the awareness message related to cybercrime to the masses. Explaining about “Cyber Encounters”, DGP said that due to the fast changing technology, the whole life has become online. But at the same time the threats of cybercrime are also increasing. The culprit is sitting hundreds of miles away and sometimes it is difficult to reach him. The speed with which the graph of cybercrime is increasing and it is also a big challenge for the police to deal with them.
The idea of writing the book “Cyber Encounters” came to his mind for the purpose of making the general public aware of cybercrime. Through the book, an attempt has been made to explain how cyber criminals operate and how people fall into their trap, in a simple language and in an interesting manner. The book “Cyber Encounters” can be helpful in making the general public aware of the tactics used by cyber criminals. In this, rescue tips have been given through the story of encounter of 12 criminal cases related to cybercrime.
