Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu: In Thoothukudi district, a recruitment process was conducted at the District Police Office to fill 13 vacant posts in the Home Guard unit. Following the selection procedure, 13 candidates — 9 men and 4 women — were chosen as Home Guard soldiers.
On 8.12.2025, District Superintendent of Police Mr. Albert John, IPS, officially handed over the appointment orders to the newly selected recruits and congratulated them on joining the force.
The newly appointed Home Guards will undergo 45 days of training starting from 09.12.2025, after which they will be deployed for duty.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Mr. Arumugam, was also present during the ceremony.
