Bhopal. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra has said that the people of villages and settlements should work to strengthen the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Social harmony is our top priority. Home Minister Dr. Mishra was addressing the police officers by inaugurating the two-day seminar “Sparsh” on “Sensitivity towards Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes”.
Home Minister Dr. Mishra said that the government is running welfare schemes for the innocent people of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Attempts are being made to poison the social environment by misleading people. Dr. Mishra exhorted the trainees involved in the seminar to make people belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes aware, keep them alert from getting confused so that they should be aware of the people who pollute the environment. He said that to make the society aware, only those mediums should be used by which efforts are being made to mislead them. Events like sports competitions for social harmony and mutual harmony in village settlements and localities will also be meaningful. Dr. Mishra said that the purpose of police is sacred and with everyone’s cooperation, Madhya Pradesh will set an example in the field of policing.
Social justice is our responsibility
Director General of Police Mr. Sudhir Kumar Saxena said in the inaugural session that it is the responsibility of all of us to provide social justice as per the preamble of the Constitution. Constitution is paramount, our source of inspiration. Providing freedom and fearless working environment to 37 percent of the people of the state and protecting their rights is very important for social harmony. He said that the people belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes should get the benefits of the schemes without any temptation, pressure and fear at the field level. For this, it is necessary to have a thorough knowledge of the legal provisions. Mr. Saxena expected that after the seminar, all the officers would sensitively review the relief cases in their areas. This will be the success of the seminar.
