Vijayawada: To pay tributes to all police personnel who died in the line of duty & to remember the valour & supreme sacrifice of brave hearts for the motherland, on 21.10.2023 Smriti Parade-Police Flag Day was held at IGMS, Vijayawada. Hon’ble Andhra Pradesh CM, Andhra Pradesh HM, DGP AP & other dignitaries attended the Parade. 2 minute silence was observed with arms reversed in the honour of departed souls of CRPF men who died in their line of duty. Commemoration Parades were held in all district units as a mark of respect to all Police Martyrs.
Various commemorative programs such as visit of Police officers to local Villages/Towns/Schools of Martyrs, Debate in Schools/Colleges, Organising Movie shows(showing the bravery of Police), Inauguration of exhibition & organizing Open House, Band Shows, Medical Camps, Honouring Special Achievers among siblings of Police martyrs & Seminar/ Lectures will be held in all districts across the State from 21st October(Police Commemoration Day) to 31st October(Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) to highlight the martyrdom of Police personnel who laid down their lives in service to the nation & its citizens.
