Hyderabad: The sleuths of the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Osmania University Police apprehended 1 Interstate Drug Peddler. The peddler was found with illegal possession of Narcotic Drugs such as Ecstasy Pills, LSD Blots and MDMA at Kakatiya Nagar, Habsiguda under Osmania University Police Station limits, Hyderabad. Total seized 20 Ecstasy pills, 5 LSD Blots, 4 grams of MDMA, 1 Mobile Phone and Cash of Rs.4000/- at the instance of the accused.
The arrested accused drug peddler was identified as Priteesh Narayan Borkar(36) alias Babu alias Khali S/o Narayan Borkar (Late), Drug Supplier, resident of Goa.
The materials seized by the police from the possession of the accused are 20 Ecstasy pills, 5 LSD Blots, 4 grams of MDMA, 1 Mobile Phone, and Cash of Rs.4000/-.
The prime accused Priteesh Narayan Borkar alias Babu alias Khali is a resident of Goa. To earn easy money, he developed contact with one Manzoor Ahmed, resident of Goa and together they started procuring the drugs such as Ecstasy Pills, LSD Blots, MDMA and Chara’s in a bulk quantity from Thukaram Salgovkar alias Nana, Vikas Naik alias Vicky, Ramesh Chowhan, Steve, Edwin Nunis and Sanja Gowekar for a lesser price and the same were sold to the needy persons for a higher price. For 8 years these persons are selling the drugs in Anjuna Beach and in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States. The accused Priteesh Narayan Borkar alias Babu alias Khali was also caught red-handed by the Panjim Narcotics Department for which a case in Cr. No.26/2014 under NDPS Act was registered against him.
On credible information on 16.8.2022, when the drug peddler, Priteesh Narayan Borkar alias Babu alias Khali was trying to sell the drugs at Habsiguda to drug consumers the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Osmania University Police Station staff apprehended the drug peddler at Habsigud which is within the Osmania University Police Station limits and Seized 20 Ecstasy Pills, 5 LSD Blots, 4 grams of MDMA, 1 Mobile Phone and net cash of RS.4000/- from his possession.
On enquiry, he revealed that, about 600 consumers are purchasing the above said drugs from him for their consumption, out of which 166 consumers were identified and still some more consumers are yet to be identified.

In recent times we have seen several youth/students getting addicted to Drugs, committing crime and involving in other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace. It is an ardent request from Hyderabad City Police to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information to Police on Phone No. 9490616688 to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free city.
The arrests were made under the supervision of Mrs. Sneha Mehra, IPS, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, H-NEW by Mr. P. Rajesh, Inspector of Police, H-NEW, Mr. G.S. Daniel, SI, H-NEW, on information of Mr. A. Satyanarayana, PC – 6055 and H-NEW staff along with Mr. L. Ramesh Naik, Inspector of Police, Osmania University Police Station and staff.
