Hyderabad City, Telangana: In a commendable operation, the Special Crime Team of the Commissioner’s Task Force, CCS, Hyderabad City, in coordination with the Abids Police, successfully apprehended three individuals involved in the illegal sale of Methamphetamine (MD drug) on March 4, 2026, acting on credible information.
During the operation, the police seized 72 grams of Methamphetamine packed in small packets along with four mobile phones from the possession of the accused. The suspects were allegedly attempting to sell the banned narcotic substance to customers in the city.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had procured the contraband and planned to sell it near BJR Statue at Basheerbagh, quoting prices between ₹6,000 and ₹8,000 per gram to earn illegal profits.
The successful operation was conducted under the supervision of DCP (Detective Department) S. Chaitanya Kumar, ACP Special Crime Team G. Venkateswar Reddy, and Inspector of Police D. Bikshapathi, along with their team and Abids Police staff.
Hyderabad Police reiterated their commitment to curbing the drug menace and safeguarding the youth. Citizens were also advised that the use, possession, sale, purchase, or transportation of MDMA and other narcotic substances is strictly prohibited, and offenders will face strict action under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
