<![CDATA[The police station was visited by many relatives of the police personal who did not have an earlier experience in visiting a police station in which Mr. Pichi Reddy father of Inspector V. Ashok Reddy who worked at the station visited,and the look of his son's work place came as a pleasant surprise.It had a corporate look. As a first-time visitor to a police station in Hyderabad, Mr. Pichi Reddy, a native of Yapalagudem in Nalgonda district, was under the impression that he would see an unpleasant and ruined police building. After visiting he said that he never expected that a police station will sport a corporate look. The technology in the station has surprised him. He was among the 400-odd family members of staff working at Begumpet police station who visited their relatives workplace for the first time to see its functioning on Sunday. The get-together was organized by Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mr.Anjani Kumar to give them an in-depth understanding into the functioning of police machinery and the working environment. Mr. Pichi Reddy added saying that his son joined the department 20 years ago, but never invited his father to his workplace. Most of them were excited to visit the police station as it was their first time, while children especially were thrilled to see the Command Control Room and the ambience of the workstation. On the occasion, a police officer explained to them the features of firearms used by the police force. Interacting with the family members, Mr. Kumar said police personnel work round the clock sacrificing their personal life to guard the society. He said that our existence is on top of the chart and we play a major role in the development of the society. North Zone DCP Ms.B. Sumathi said police need their family support to effectively discharge their duties. “We need friendly families to have friendly policing,” she said. Further, Mr. Kumar hosted a lunch for all the staff and their family members. A similar get-together were organised at Afzalgunj and Falaknuma police stations last month.
