Hyderabad: Telangana police are talking to the people under the slogan ‘Friendly Police’. Numerous revolutionary measures have been taken to ensure that justice is done in the same way from celebrity to commoner. In the past there was a situation where people were afraid to go to the police station and lodge a complaint. It is against this backdrop that the state police department has brought in friendly policing to reduce the distance between police and the victim. This will allow anyone to go to the station and complain. People who used to flee from the distance to see the police are now boldly telling them their problems and getting justice.
The Hyderabad Commissionerate police took another step in this direction. They have come forward to seek suggestions and advice from the city dwellers to curb mob violence against women, prevent other riots and solve people’s problems. Hyderabad City Police tweeted ‘Anunityam Public Service 9490616555 Hyderabad City Police WhatsApp Number’. Police say they will keep the details of those who make complaints through WhatsApp confidential and take action to prevent any harm to them.
