Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu: In a successful operation, Kovilpatti West Police arrested three persons involved in illegal liquor sales and seized 994 liquor bottles from their possession.
Acting on confidential information, a police team led by Inspector Mr. Navaneethakrishnan, under the supervision of DSP Mr. Jaganathan, conducted a patrol in the Sriram Nagar area of Kovilpatti. During the operation, three individuals found behaving suspiciously were detained and questioned.
Investigation revealed that the accused—Irulappasamy (52), Manikandan (50), and Manoj (23)—were engaged in the illegal sale of liquor. The trio was immediately arrested, and the liquor stock was seized.
A case has been registered by Kovilpatti West Police, and further investigation is underway.
The operation highlights the continued vigilance and proactive efforts of the police in curbing illegal activities and maintaining law and order.
