Chennai: Indian Army has published the Recruitment of 55th SSC (Tech-Men) and 26th SSC (Tech-Women) for the unmarried Male & unmarried Female Engineering Graduates and also for Widows of Defence Personnel for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army in all Arms/ Services. The course will commence in October 2020 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
The Name of the Post is Indian Army 55th SSC for Men) & 26th SSC for Women. The Vacancy available for SSCM (T) is 55 and for SSCW (T) is 26. The number of vacancies available for men is 175 and for women, it is 14. Recruitment is being done for the Widows of Defence Personnel. For SSC (W) (Non-Tech) (Non-UPSC) the vacancy is 1 and for SSC (W) Tech the vacancy is 1.
The Qualification required for SSC (Tech) (Men & Women) is the candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course. For Widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness, the qualification required is SSCW (Non-Tech) (Non-UPSC): Graduation in any Discipline and SSCW (Tech): BE/ B.Tech in Any Engineering Stream.
The Age Limit For SSC (T)-55 Men & SSCW (T) 26 Women are 20 to 27 Years as on 01-10-2020. The candidates should bear b/w 02-10-1993 & 01-10-2000, both dates inclusive. For widows of Defence Personnel who died Harness only the age limit for SSCW (Non-technical-Non UPSC) & SSCW (Technical) is a maximum of 35 Years as on 01-10-2020.
