New Delhi: The BrahMos Vertical Launch System (VLS) is set to be integrated into India’s upcoming P75-I class submarines, marking a major advancement in the Navy’s underwater strike capability. Once operational, the system will enable submarines to carry out long-range, precision strike missions from beneath the surface, significantly enhancing deterrence and combat effectiveness in the maritime domain.
The development was confirmed by Dr. Sudhir Mishra, former CEO and Managing Director of BrahMos Aerospace, who noted that the integration reflects the growing technological maturity and strategic intent of India’s maritime defense architecture.
The addition of the BrahMos VLS to the P75-I platform is expected to give the Indian Navy a robust, high-precision stand-off strike option, further strengthening India’s operational readiness and maritime security posture in the Indo-Pacific region.
