Indore : Commissioner of Police, Indore Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra directed to take effective action against those who buy and sell illegal weapons in the district and the miscreants involved in their activities. Under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Mr. Rajesh Hingankar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Mr. Nimish Agarwal and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, following the instructions of (Crime Branch) Mr. Guru Prasad Parashar directed the teams of Police Station Crime Branch Indore to take necessary action for Patarsi and Dharpak in relation to the accused involved in the purchase and sale of illegal weapons.
In the same vein, on December 21, the Crime Branch Indore team received information from an informer that a person with fire arms was roaming in the Pardeshipura area to commit an incident. On the information, the crime branch team and police station Pardeshipura took joint action and arrested the suspect from the place mentioned by the informer. On interrogating the arrested person, told his name to be Kalu Pandit alias Prakash Puri, resident of Sarvahara Nagar, district Indore.
On searching the accused, a pistol with cartridges was found from his possession, in relation to which it was found that he did not have a valid license. The police seized illegal fire arms and cartridges from the possession of accused Kalu Pandit alias Prakash Puri, and an offense under the Arms Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Pardeshipura and has been taken into consideration.
