Indore: On 22 January 2022 Police Commissioner Indore Nagar Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra IPS has been directed to identify the criminals who cheated the people and take legal action and take effective action to nab them. In the sequence of the above instructions, the Fraud Investigation Cell team examined the farmer applicant Om Prakash Sisodia after taking complete information about the fraud. It was learned that a call came to the applicant’s account to deposit the money of the Kisan Yojana and by sending a fake link, he was asked to check the balance on the phone.
On entering UPI PIN by the applicant, the applicant was cheated of Rs.81000/- online. On this, by taking prompt action by the Crime Branch Indore, by phone-pay, and contacting the concerned bank, the applicant’s withdrawal amount was Rs.81,000/- on his own was safely returned back to the bank account.
