A new system of digital payment is being made for depositing the sum of fine and fine for violators of traffic rules, for which 90 POS machines have been provided to Indore Police. Now after this new system, for violating traffic rules, the driver can pay the fine amount by debit/credit card through “POS machine”.
Through the POS machine, the invoicing officer will take the photograph of the driver on the spot and feed the registered number or chassis number of the vehicle into the POS machine. The vehicle owner’s information will automatically come on display in the machine and the driver’s information will be fed by the officer.
The amount of fine will be displayed on the display as soon as the driver selects the information for violating the traffic rules. Then the penalty can be paid by selecting one of the payment options. Challan can be generated from the POS machine even in case of cash payment by the driver. In case the driver does not have the facility of cash payment or digital payment on the spot, a link will be shared through a message by feeding the mobile number registered with his bank in the POS machine. The driver can pay the fine in seven days through the link and in case of non-payment, the amount of challan will have to be deposited by visiting the Hon’ble Court.
