INDORE: The Indore Police arrested serial stabbers on Wednesday night who were committed the crime to establish a powerful name in the area.
On Tuesday night six persons on three bikes who were armed with sharp-edged weapons went on a stabbing and looting spree at Rajendra Nagar. During this period the accused looted shopkeepers, vandalized shops, verbally abused and threatened to kill passersby and also stabbed four people. The accused continued to carry on their activities for over 40 minutes before one of the injured persons informed police officials who immediately reached the spot. Teams of Police personal were organized to nab the accused persons. Many of the accused were arrested. SSP Mr. Ruchi Wardhan Mishra said on Thursday that the six teams who were on the lookout for the accused in and around the city, were able to arrest the remaining two persons as well and it was learned that they were planning to commit another crime.
Rajendra Nagar police station in-charge Mr. Sunil Sharma had received information that eight persons were sitting near Tejaji Nagar bypass and planning to commit a loot at a nearby petrol pump. On conducting the timely raid the police personal arrested Lucky alias Gajendra Tanwar, Sonu Kala alias Hemant Lodhi, Girish alias Pundit Rao, Sonu alias Gangwal Solanki, Umesh alias Lucky Yadav and Vishnu Nath and booked the accused under the relevant sections of the IPC. Two other accused Shubham alias Sibby and Rakesh Bhoi managed to flee the spot.
On interrogation, the accused said that they wanted to prove their dominance in the area and thus, planned to commit the crime.
The Police recovered sharp-edged weapons, sticks, a cartridge and other objects from their possession.
