Indore: Madhya Pradesh Police is always determined to prevent and redress atrocities on women and girls. Keeping this in view, the Indore Police Commissioner Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra, and Mr. Manish Kapuria expressed concern over the incidents of girls in the age group of 16 to 18 years leaving their homes after being misled and leaving their homes. The detailed outline was explained to Sapua Mr. BPS Parihar by planning. In this sequence, dated 15th February 2022, the campaign “Don’t leave home and go” was launched from Anand School, Dwarkapuri. In this event, 200 girls along with their families, school teachers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, women, child development officers, and other dignitaries were present.
Dr. Prashant Choubey IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sapua Mr. BPS Parihar and Mr. Satish Dwivedi Police Station in-charge, Dwarkapuri Ms. Meena Chauhan Sub-Inspector and police station staff were present in the program. The speakers were informed about the rights of the girl child and the legal aspects regarding leaving the house and its ill-effects were highlighted. The use of social media and cybercrime were also discussed in detail. Such programs will create awareness among the girl child and their families and crime will come down.
