Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: A Home Guard volunteer from the Palani region has come under scrutiny after posting social media “reels” featuring a firearm while on election security duty.
The individual, identified as Rajkumar, reportedly filmed and shared videos using a weapon belonging to paramilitary forces while stationed in the Balasamudram area. The act is considered a serious breach of security protocols.
District Superintendent of Police Mr. Pradeep has ordered a detailed inquiry into the incident. The investigation is currently being conducted by Palani Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Dhananjayan.
Officials emphasized that unauthorized handling or misuse of firearms during security duties is a grave violation and will be dealt with strictly.
