Rachakonda : On credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), Malkajgiri Zone team along with Nacharam police busted an international narcotic peddling racket and apprehended the accused namely Shaikh Fareed Mohammad Ali and Faizan Arun Mujaheed alias Faisal who are involved in clandestine supply of pseudoephedrine (a narcotic control substance) being parceled through an international courier agency from Hyderabad to Australia and New Zealand. A case was registered under SEC. 25 (A) of NDPS Act and 2001& SEC. 36 OF Aadhaar Act at Nacharam Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. The details of the accused persons are as follows:- Shaikh Fareed Mohammad Ali(30) S/o. Mohammad All, Occ: Business, R/o. Near Ram Mandirgalli, 54/ap, 103 Lohiya Nagar Ganjpeth, Pune City, Maharashtra. Faizan Arun Mujaheed alias Faisal(28) S/o. Arun, Occ: Broadband Technician, R/o. H.No: 28B, Guljar Housing Society, Gunjpet, Mominpura, Pune, Maharastra. The Police Seized the following Property:- Pseudoephedrine – approximately weighing 500 grams, Net Cash Rs. 2500/-, Gold 80 Grams approximately, Passport – 1, Mobile phones- 2. All property worth about Rs. 55 Lakhs.
Sheik Fareed Mohammad Ali was born and brought up in Pune and studied up to 10m class. His father was a petty vendor who used to sell peanut chikkies. Fareed has three siblings including two elder sisters and one elder brother. He started petty business with his father. One of his elder sisters namely Swaleha had settled in Chennai along with her husband. He visits Chennai regularly to meet his sister and bring electronic goods from Malaysia along with his brother in-law namely Basheer Ahmed, while he was doing foreign goods business, he got introduced along with his friend Faizan alias Faizal to Rasuldeen R/o. Chennai. Rasuldeen introduced both of them into drug business. All the accused travelled to Hyderabad, Chennal and Pune for several times and with the assistance of Fareed and Faizal sent drugs to Australia and New Zealand through international Courier Services. About Faizan Arun Muzaheed alias Faizal was born and brought up in Pune and studied up to Intermediate. He is a close friend of Fareed and knew about his foreign goods business. On the motivation of Fareed he helps to transport drugs and book parcels at international parcel companies for easy money given by Fareed.
In continuation to the investigation, it is established that they have received pseudoephedrine from Raheem, a Chennal based drugs peddler, after receiving the drug they put about 200 grams each in plastic covers, hid in the inner layers of the cloth boxes along with clothes and transporting to Australia and New Zealand through courier parcel agencies viz., GVR International Courier Service, Hyderabad and Indofine Express Service, Pune by concealing the contraband in different items. They confessed that so far they have shipped 15 consignments weighing about 70 kilograms approximately of pseudoephedrine to Australia and New Zealand during the year 2022. In the above case the SOT, Rachakonda and Nacharam Police have arrested Mohammad Kasim and Rasuldeen and send them to judicial custody on 11.12.2022, along with the drug weighing about 8.5 kilograms. As days pass today morning hours Sheik Fareed and Faizan alias Faizal respectively came to Hyderabad planned to send the same drug to the address provided by Raheem. Meanwhile they were caught by police.
On examination of the bag, a plastic cover was found containing white powder like substances, which weighing about 500 grams and gold weighing about 80 grams. On examination they confessed that they have come to Hyderabad to send the drug parcel to Australia and sell the gold which was smuggled from Malaysia to the localities of Pune and Hyderabad. The above arrests were made under the direct supervision of Mr. DS Chauhan, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. V. Satayanarayana, IPS., Jt. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mrs. D. Janaki, IPS., DCP, Malkajgiri Zone and under the guidance of Mr. R. Giridhar, IPS., DCP, SOT, Malkajgiri, Rachakonda, Mr. P. Naresh Reddy, ACP, Malkajgiri Division, Mr. T. Kiran Kumar, Inspector of Police, Nacharam, Police Station, by Mr. A. Ramulu, Inspector of Police, SOT, Malkajgiri Zone, Sub-Inspectors Mr. T. Vasudev, Mr. G. Raghu Ramudu, Mr. D. Srinu, Gangadhar and Police Personnel of SOT, Malkajgiri Zone and Nacharam Police Station of Rachakonda.
