Khairagarh- Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Chhattisgarh: Khairagarh Police organized a “Cyber Awareness Suprabhat” programme at a park in Khairagarh on Monday as part of the ongoing cyber-awareness campaign in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai (KCG) District.
The programme was conducted under the direction of the Superintendent of Police, KCG District, with the aim of reaching citizens during their morning walks and exercise routines. Police personnel interacted with residents and provided practical guidance on cybersecurity and prevention of online fraud.
During the awareness session, citizens were briefed about common methods used by cyber fraudsters and advised to remain cautious while dealing with suspicious phone calls, text messages and online communications. Police specifically urged citizens not to share OTPs, PINs or passwords and to avoid clicking on unknown or suspicious links.
The public was also informed about the importance of taking immediate action and reporting cybercrime promptly in the event of an online financial fraud or other cyber-related incident.
Khairagarh Police appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and adopt safe digital practices, stressing that awareness and caution are key to preventing cybercrime. Residents were also encouraged to share cyber-safety information with their family members and people in their communities.
Through its ongoing Cyber Awareness Campaign, Khairagarh Police continues to engage citizens from different sections of society and promote responsible and secure digital behaviour.
