Chennai: Greater Chennai, Commissioner of Police Mr. Shankar Jaiswal, IPS, has ordered to take stringent action on Ganja, Gutkha sellers through the special action of “DAD – Drive Against Drugs” in Chennai City.
Following this, on 09.07.2021 on a tip-off, a team led by the Inspector of Police, J3 Guindy Police Station conducted a search in a shop at Nagi Reddy Thottam, Guindy. They arrested Shahul Hameed, (M /38) of Guindy for possession of Gutkha products in his shop. 75 kg of Gutkha product has been seized from him. Legal action is being pursued against him.
