Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: Kasibugga Police and Fire personnel, with the assistance of local residents, successfully rescued a 55-year-old man who became trapped in a dense patch of water hyacinth and sludge at Garudakhandi–Savaragedda in Palasa Mandal on Friday.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Sub-Inspector Ch. Durga Prasad and his team immediately reached the spot and launched a rescue operation. After a difficult and coordinated effort, the trapped man was safely brought out.
The man was reportedly unconscious when rescued. Police personnel provided immediate first aid and shifted him to the Palasa Community Health Centre for further medical treatment. Doctors confirmed that the timely intervention helped save his life.
The prompt response and coordinated efforts of the Kasibugga Police, Fire personnel and local residents ensured that the man received timely medical attention.
District SP Shri K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS, commended the Kasibugga Police and Fire personnel for their swift and courageous response in saving a precious life.
