Thiruvanthapuram: The Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan launched by flagging off the Cheetah patrol system in front of Thampanoor police station. The Kerala Police launched the Cheetah patrol system to address traffic congestion in the capital city. The Patrol system consists of of10 Cheetah Patrol Jeeps and 30 Bike Patrol teams.
The aim of forming the Cheetah Patrol team was to minimize the increasing number of accidents and traffic congestion in the city. State Police Chief Mr.Loknath Behra announced that the Cheetah Patrol Team will be formed at a meeting convened on November 24 to address the city’s traffic problems.
The Cheetah Patrol team is responsible for detecting traffic violations, preventing traffic congestion, taking necessary steps to minimize accidents, detecting road holes, leaking trees and power poles.
