Trivandrum: A mobile application has been launched for police officers to perform their daily tasks in a timely and efficient manner called Mi-Cops mobile application.
The Mi-Cops mobile app, which consists of fifty-three modules, is designed to be developed in different phases. Out of which 16 modules are being implemented in the first phase. It is India’s most advanced mobile app exclusively for Police Officers, handling all Police related activities as well as office related personal information of Police Officers.
Through this mobile app, police officers can perform office functions, depute personnel for investigation on applications and investigators can carry out their inspections and field level operations related to investigations efficiently and quickly. Being able to provide reports etc. on time through own mobile will save working time and improve efficiency.
This app provides a digital notebook facility instead of the notebook kept by the police officers. The station officer can check the notebooks of the officers in his office through his own login and record the information. Officers can be assigned to beat and patrol duties and officers on patrol duty can record information in the beat book.
Chief Minister Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the mobile application. State Police Chief Mr. Anil Kant, CCTNS Nodal Officer IGP Mr. Prakash and concerned police officers and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
