Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Police said remember that your involvement in the news chat rooms of the new media is not as secure as you think. Beware of careless and overconfident interactions on the new social media that are making waves.

Live audio rooms are the new trend. The rule is not to record speech in each room without the permission of the ‘speakers’, but this does not guarantee compliance.

Through the screen recording option, the entire profile picture of those attending the rooms is captured on video recording. These later spread widely through YouTube and WhatsApp. In the room with rude conversations

Needless to say, seeing the pictures and profiles of the participants in the video is bad. Information that is not ‘censored’ in private rooms in the belief that it is not being recorded goes viral within hours.

Another feature of audio rooms is that once a person enters a room, that information is given to their followers as a notification. Those who follow them will know that the person is in a particular room by looking at the feed. These may also be spread as a screenshot. So be careful, beware. It can go viral if left untreated.
